Troy Seibel
Troy Seibel was the North Dakota Commissioner of Labor. He was appointed by Gov. Jack Dalrymple (R) on September 5, 2014. Seibel was appointed to replace Bonnie Storbakken, who became general counsel in the governor's office.[1]
In November 2016, North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem (R) asked Seibel to serve as chief deputy attorney general. Seibel accepted and began serving in his new position on December 1, 2016.[2]
Biography
Seibel earned his B.A. in political science from the University of North Dakota and a J.D. from the University of Denver.[2]

Seibel was appointed North Dakota Commissioner of Labor to a term effective September 5, 2014.[1] Seibel resigned, effective December 1, 2016, in order to become the chief deputy attorney general for the state of North Dakota.[2] Seibel was replaced by Michelle Kommer.[3]

The commissioner is responsible for enforcing wage and labor laws in the state, and investigation claims of discrimination in the workplace, housing, public service, public accommodations and credit transactions.
