A Troy Township Levy Increase proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Newaygo County, which is in Michigan, where it was approved.

Language on the ballot:
| “ | Shall the total tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on the amount of general ad valorem taxes within Troy Township be increased by 0.5 mill ($0.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) annually for four (4) years, 2013 through 2016, inclusive, to provide funds for general operating and all other Township purposes, and shall Troy Township be authorized to levy such new additional millage for said purposes on all taxable property, raising an estimated $5,074.00 in the first year of the levy?[1][2] | ” |
