Troye Kendall Shaffer is a judge of the Superior Court of Sonoma County in California. She assumed office in 2021.

She was appointed to the court on March 25, 2021 by Gavin Newsom (D) to replace Robert S. Boyd.[1]

Although California Superior Court judges are elected in nonpartisan elections, a press release from Gov. Newsom's office announcing Shaffer's appointment on March 25, 2021, identified her as a Democrat.[1]

Biography

Shaffer received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She served as a Deputy District Attorney from 2000 to 2015 at the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office, where she later served as Chief Deputy District Attorney from 2015 to 2019. From 2019 until her appointment, she served as a Commissioner at the Sonoma County Superior Court.[1]
