Truman A. Morrison III is a senior judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was appointed to the court by President Jimmy Carter in 1979 and took on senior status in 1999.[1][2]

Education

Morrison received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin.[1]

Career

Morrison began his legal career as a clerk for Judge John Reynolds on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. In 1971, Morrison joined the Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C.; four years later, he became head of the trial division. He worked in that position until joining the court in 1979.[1]
