Truth in Accounting (TIA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Chicago, Illinois.[1] The organization was founded in 2002 by Sheila Weinberg, a certified public accountant (CPA).[2][3] According to its website, TIA was established with the purpose to "compel governments to produce financial reports that are understandable, reliable, transparent and correct."[4]
