This question authorized the Tuscarawas County to renew a property tax levy of up to 1.7 mills ($1.7 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 10 years in order to fund the County Board of Developmental Disabilities.[1]

Language on the ballot:
“ | A renewal of a tax for the benefit of The Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities for the purpose of the operation of facilities used for retardation and developmental disabilities programs and services including Starlight School and Starlight Workshop at a rate not exceeding 1.7 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.17 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 10 years, commencing in 2013, first due in calendar year 2014.
