Judges do not set policy, but I am passionate about reducing the number of persons with mental illness in our jail. I also am passionate about supporting survivors of human trafficking. I desire to see judges work alongside of county and state officials to increase the budget for accountability courts and mental health facilities. In addition, I would like to see our courts maximize punishment for those who use social media to engage in human trafficking.
Temperance, Transparency & Trust. I am even tempered, courteous, and an active listener. My colleagues describe me as open and honest with everyone. Lastly, you can trust that I will follow the law, but I will do it with empathy and compassion.
The responsibilities of a Superior Court Judge are to exercise exclusive authority over felony cases, divorce matters, and cases regarding title to land, condemnations, property tax appeals, elections, and mandamus. A Superior Court Judge must make decisions with fairness, impartiality, and independence of political partisanships. Furthermore, a Superior Court Judge should demonstrate Temperance, Transparency and Trust at all times.
I am a lifelong public servant, having been a local government attorney for over 27 years and represented City of Atlanta and Gwinnett County governments, elected and appointed officials, and thousands of employees. In addition, I have faithfully served in many civic and community service organizations throughout Gwinnett County. My love for Gwinnett County and its residents has inspired a desire to continue my longstanding public service by helping everyday people solve their legal problems in a fair and impartial manner and gain access to the Court system. I would be honored to earn your vote!
