Two Montgomery County judges to retire at the end of 2010
November 30, 2010
Dayton, Ohio: Two judges have announced their intentions to retire on December 31, 2010: A.J. Wagner of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas and Judith A. King of the Montgomery County domestic relations court. This will allow out-going Democratic Gov. Strickland to appoint their successors.
While Judge King could not be reached for comment, Judge Wagner said the timing was to protect his staff, who have a better chance of keeping their jobs with a Democratic appointment. He praised these staff members, saying, "You are true public servants who cast a positive light on all of us fortunate enough to get re-elected time and again due to your efforts.” He plans to serve as a visiting judge on the court at times.[1]
