Two potential ballot measures proposed in South Carolina Legislature
January 20, 2010
COLUMBIA, South Carolina: South Carolina may see two legislatively referred constitutional amendments placed on the November 2, 2010 ballot, in addition to the Hunting and fishing amendment that is already on the ballot.
One ballot measure was proposed by Senator Mike Rose. The amendment calls for allowing citizens to place measures on the ballot via initiative petitions.[1]
The other proposed measure was introduced to the Senate on January 12, 2010, and was introduced to the House of Representatives on April 1, 2009. The amendment calls for allowing voters to recall elected officials.[2][3]
