My name is Tyler Chapman, and I am a proud native of Meade County with a strong commitment to District 27. Growing up on a family farm, I learned the value of hard work, dedication, and attention to detail. Over nearly a decade in banking operations, I have built a track record of enhancing efficiency and accessibility in financial matters, always striving to improve service for my community.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Western Kentucky University and am currently a candidate for a Master of Public Administration at the University of Kentucky. This educational background underscores my dedication to public service and community development.

As a candidate for State Representative, I bring a blend of community values, financial expertise, and a passion for serving others. My focus is on advancing local interests, supporting businesses, and ensuring that the voices of our community are heard and amplified. With my candidacy, District 27 can expect an unwavering advocate for positive change and progress.
  • I grew up on a farm in Meade County and understand the value of a hard-earned dollar. I’ve seen firsthand how hard work can create happy lives for our families. We deserve an economy that benefits everyone, not just a select few. As your representative, I will fight for policies that keep more money in your pocket and will advocate for policies that support fair labor practices and reduce costs for working Kentucky families.
  • Education transformed my life, opening doors I never thought possible. As your state representative, I will advocate for adequate funding for Kentucky’s public schools to ensure our kids have access to quality education. I am committed to keeping public dollars in public schools and will oppose any efforts to divert funds to unaccountable private schools.
  • Personal freedom means having the right to make private decisions about our own lives. In the legislature, I will fight to preserve abortion rights and ensure that everyone has access to comprehensive healthcare, so that all individuals can make the choices that are best for them and their families.
I am passionate about agriculture, education, the economy, and reproductive rights.

As a farm-raised Meade County native, I support sustainable farming and market access. I advocate for equitable school funding and support for teachers. I aim to boost our local economy through job growth and business support. I also believe in protecting access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare and upholding individual autonomy. These areas are crucial for the well-being and progress of our community.
The most important characteristics for an elected official are listening to the needs of our community, representing the values of all in our district—not just personal beliefs—being transparent, and advocating for constituents.
I believe my honesty, empathy, transparency, and commitment to advocacy are essential for effective leadership. Being honest builds trust with constituents, empathy helps me understand and address their concerns, transparency ensures accountability, and my dedication to advocacy means I'll always prioritize the needs of those I represent.
The core responsibilities include advocating daily for the community, creating laws that benefit and uplift people, and enhancing their freedoms. It's also essential to listen to constituents, address their concerns, and ensure transparency and accountability in all actions.
My very first job was at Creature Comfort Inn in Brandenburg. I started working there after school and during summers, taking care of pets for families in our community. I enjoyed this role for four years, gaining valuable experience in responsibility and customer service.
Regardless of political parties, it is vital for the governor and state legislature to find common ground and work together. Cooperation and collaboration are essential to effectively address the needs of Kentuckians and achieve meaningful progress.
Over the next decade, Kentucky faces significant challenges such as improving educational outcomes, enhancing healthcare accessibility, revitalizing infrastructure, promoting economic diversification, and addressing environmental sustainability. These issues require proactive leadership and collaborative efforts to ensure a prosperous future for all residents.
I believe it's important for state legislators to understand how government functions, but previous experience in government isn't necessary. In fact, diverse perspectives from varied backgrounds can bring fresh insights and innovative solutions to legislative issues.
Yes, absolutely. In order to effectively serve our constituents and tackle the challenges facing our state, it's crucial to work together across party lines. Building relationships with fellow legislators allows us to find common ground, foster understanding, and collaborate on solutions that benefit all Kentuckians.

I am interested in serving on the Agriculture, Children and Families, Education, Appropriations, and Banking and Insurance committees.
Financial transparency and government accountability are essential. The public has a right to know where every single dollar is going. As a Master of Public Administration candidate at the University of Kentucky, I have learned that leading with ethics is paramount. Ensuring that government actions are clear and accountable fosters trust and integrity, which are crucial for effective governance.
