Campaign website
Murset’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
CAMPAIGN PROMISES I pledge to vote with the majority of registered voters in my district 100% of the time. I do have opinions about the major political issues and would urge Utahns to vote in ways that protect our rights. As a rule of thumb, any "right" that requires the labor of someone else is not a right. BORDER AND FOREIGN POLICY I believe we should protect our border. Those who are here illegally should be deported. We do not owe anything to non-citizens regardless of how bad their country is. The needs of U.S. citizens should come first and foreign aid should be largely eliminated. FREEDOM OF SPEECH Isn't it weird that there are major debates about our 1st amendment still? I believe in a robust right to expression and a right to peacefully assemble. I believe censorship has no place in our modern discourse. I support freedom to choose our healthcare whether it be conventional or alternative and oppose forced vaccinations and laws meant to enforce compliance. I also support Bitcoin as an expression of speech and believe it should be exempt from taxation. HOUSING, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION There is no fundamental right to housing, healthcare, or education. Why does the cost of all of these go up every year. In short because government regulations prevent true competition from happening coupled with a crippling level of deficit spending. I would work to end the regulations that prevent true price discovery and help to bring the prices down for most everything we purchase. RIGHT TO SELF DEFENSE I believe we have a fundamental right to defend ourselves and if necessary to use force. I believe the 2nd amendment is under attack and should be protected. ELECTION SECURITY I believe if we can't track our vote from start to finish, we cannot say with certainty that there is no voter fraud. I support robust security to voting systems and believe in it so much that I'm creating a new voting software.[2] |
