|- I will bring real solutions to our real problems.
- I will fight to build a better future for our generations and for all the generations to come.
- I have the knowledge, experience, and commitment needed to get things done starting on day one.
Another issue I'm very passionate about is education. I spent years fighting to save education in our state. While in college I served as a Senator, Vice President, and President in the University of Wisconsin - Marathon County Student Government Association (SGA). During my time in the SGA I was able to work with people from across the state, of all different political affiliations and backgrounds, to fight to give our state a better future. We had many accomplishments. The most notable were saving students' rights to representation under 36.09(5) and saving the Wisconsin Idea from being removed from state law. When I'm elected, I will continue to fight for education and I will ensure that we have the education needed to make our state prosper and to leave a better future for the next generations.
Outside of politics, the person I look up to most is my mother. She taught me the values of hardwork and commitment. She worked tirelessly to put me through Catholic school to ensure that I received a quality education and to ensure that I was raised to have strong values and good morals. She did this despite the fact that she had to raise me as a single mother. These values of hardwork and commitment will aid me in winning the 35th Assembly seat and using it to bring real solutions to our problems.
Beyond that I would recommend reading "Washington: A Life" by Ron Chernow, Benjamin Franklin: A Life" by Walter Isaacson, and "Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power" by Jon Meacham. These three books gave me a lot of insight into our Founding Fathers, and did a great job showing the America that they envisioned. They also showed the importance of working with others, even those you have differences with, to accomplish great things.
