In District 5, newcomers Tyrone Blue and Jonathan Petree vied for the seat, with Petree emerging as the winner. The seats of District 2 and District 4 incumbents Gail Cook and Kimberly Fahlgren were originally set to be on the primary ballot, but they were unopposed in their bids for re-election. The election for both their seats was canceled and they were automatically re-elected when the filing deadline passed.[1]
