  • Our Environment Is Sustainable If We Learn to Conserve and Renew
Affordable Housing and the Unhoused are two of my key policy passions.
The late Julian Bond, Congressman Kweisi Mfume, the late Gen Colin Powell and the late David Dinkins. These men all had a persona impact on how I served community and I was fortunate enough to meet and work with them all in different capacities.
The AFL–CIO's Solidarity Day march in Washington, D.C., in September 1981. I was really young but actually went to the march with my parents who were union members. I can still remember the march, the ride down on the bus and the feeling of being on the capitol with my parents and other family members who were supporting the union fight.
I was a golf caddy at age 12 and did that every summer until I graduated high school. It was one of the best jobs I've had and I was exposed to so many people.
Senator Corey Booker and Senator Raphael Warnock, I love they these two men carry themselves as black Senators and what they stand in their respective states.
Compromise is all the word of the day when policymaking. You cannot walk into the room and not be able to at least empathies with the other side of the perspective.

When I was a White House intern, we experienced a major tragic event, the bombing of U.S. embassies in Nairobi and Dar Salaam killing over 200 people including an intern I knew personally. I was 21 and his funeral services and the dignified transfer ceremony will live with me forever.
I was a caddy at Westchester Country Club and did that job from age 12 to 18. It was amazing to learn the game of golf and make money. Not an easy job to have but it taught me competition hard work
