A Umatilla City Acting Mayor Amendment question is on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Lake County, which is in Florida, where it was approved.
This question amended the Umatilla City Charter to establish that the Council President will fill a Mayoral vacancy until the next regular election only if six or less months remain in the term. If more than six months remain, the City Council will appoint an Acting Mayor to serve the remaining term.[1]
