A Umatilla City Records Department Amendment question is on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Lake County, which is in Florida, where it was defeated.
If approved, this question would have amended the Umatilla City Charter to removes any requirements for the City Clerk relating to knowledge of accounting, taxation, budgeting and financial controls and provides that the City Manager shall appoint the City Clerk.[1]

The proposed amendment to Article X Section 1 removes the requirements relating to accounting, taxation, budgeting and financial controls and provides that the City Manager shall appoint the City Clerk.
