Umatilla City Transient Room Tax Increase (May 2010)

A Umatilla City Code Room Tax Usage Changes measure was on the May 18, 2010 ballot in the city of Umatilla which is in Umatilla County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 213 (52.85%)Approveda
  • NO 190 (47.15%)[1]

This measure sought to increase the transient room tax to 3.5 percent of the rent charged by a hotel, motel or RV park operator. 70 percent of the taxes collected will go towards promoting tourism in the city and the rest will go to fund city services.[2]
