The Union County Rezoning Referral or Ordinance No. 2008-001, was a measure on the March 11 ballot in Union County.
The ordinance reads as follows: "Ordinance No. 2008-001, passed March 11, 2008 entitled “An ordinance establishing the energy center planned development district pursuant to the Union County zoning ordinance (1978), as amended."
The referral sought to rezone 3,292 acres of farmland for a new classification, permitting the construction of an energy center.

Passed, with 57.93% of the vote going to "yes."
