Union Fire and Gerald Ambulance District Property Tax Reduction (April 2010)
A Union Fire and Gerald Ambulance District Property Tax Reduction measure was on the April 6, 2010 ballot in the two districts which are in Franklin County.
Both measures were approved
Union:
Gerald:
- YES 491 (70.44%)
- NO 206 (29.56%)[1]
Both measures sought to reduce local property taxes by 50 percent, but this would also implement a sales tax in both areas at a rate of one half of a percent. Money generated from both taxes will go towards general operation expenses in the districts.[2]
