This page is about a former federal court. For a list of active courts, see: United States federal courts.

The United States Circuit Court for the District of Connecticut was established by the Judiciary Act of 1789. That circuit court system was briefly abolished by the Judiciary Act of 1801, but with the repeal of that act in 1802, the court was restored. It was then in continuous existence until the abolition of the circuit court system on March 3, 1911.[1]
