This page is about a former federal court. For a list of active courts, see: United States federal courts.

The United States Circuit Court for the District of Delaware was established as part of the Judiciary Act of 1789. The circuit court system created by that act was temporarily abolished by the Judiciary Act of 1801, but with its repeal in 1802, the court was restored. It was then in continuous existence until the abolition of the circuit court system on March 3, 1911.[1]
