The United States Circuit Court for the District of Ohio was created as part of the Judiciary Act of 1801, with appellate jurisdiction over the Indiana Territory and the territory Northwest of the Ohio. It was dissolved with the repeal of that act in 1802, but was re-established on February 24, 1807.[1]
