This page is about a former federal court. For a list of active courts, see: United States federal courts.

The United States Circuit Court for the District of Vermont was established on March 2, 1791, to have appellate jurisdiction over the District Court for the District of Vermont. This circuit court was dissolved as part of a reformation of the circuit court system by the Judiciary Act of 1801, but it was restored with the repeal of that act in 1802. It was permanently abolished with the rest of the circuit court system on March 3, 1911.[1]
