United States Circuit Court for the Southern District of Illinois

The United States Circuit Court for the Southern District of Illinois was established on February 13, 1855, corresponding to the creation of the Northern and Southern district courts, and the Circuit Court for the Northern District. It was abolished on March 3, 1911, along with the rest of the circuit court system.[1]
