The United States Circuit Court for the Western District of Missouri was created on June 8, 1872. It was created at the same time as the Circuit Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, to have appellate jurisdiction, respectively, over the Western and Eastern district courts, which had formerly sent appeals to the United States Circuit Court for the District of Missouri. The Circuit Court for the Western District of Missouri was dissolved on March 3, 1911, with the rest of the circuit court system.[1]
