Ohio: After a long (and sometimes ugly) primary season, Ohioans woke up to no major surprises when perusing election results this morning. Most of the statewide Court of Appeals races were uncontested. The results of the five races with multiple candidates are as followed:
- Ohio Second District Court of Appeals, Term Commencing February 10: Michael T. Hall defeated opponent George B. Reynolds by receiving almost two times the number of votes.[1]
- Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals, Term Commencing February 9: Keila Cosme, running unopposed for her party's nomination yesterday, will face Steve Yarbrough in the general election. Yarbrough easily claimed victory, though closer to Robert G. Christiansen in vote totals than Frederick C. Hany II.[1]
- Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals, Term Commencing January 3: Kathleen Ann Keough won the Democratic Party nomination over five opponents. She will face Brian Moriarty in the fall.[1]
- Ohio Eleventh District Court of Appeals, Term Commencing February 9 (Republican): Results of this race show both candidates very close in the polls. As of 8AM, Eugene A. Lucci is up by about 600 votes. However, due to the contentious nature of this race, Colleen O'Toole will probably not concede until every last vote is counted.[1]
- Ohio Eleventh District Court of Appeals, Term Commencing February 9 (Democrat): Thomas Wright defeated opponent Neil Wilson handily, to win his party's nomination for the general election.[1]
