V. Thomas Forehand, Jr.
V. Thomas Forehand, Jr. was a circuit court judge for the 1st Judicial Circuit in Virginia, home to the Chesapeake Circuit Court.[1][2] He served on the court from 1995 until his retirement from the bench on August 1, 2014. Forehand died on his birthday, August 21, 2014, after a year's long battle with cancer.[3][4]
Education
Forehand received his undergraduate degree from Haverford College and his J.D. degree from the University of Richmond School of Law.[5]
Career
Forehand served as a judge for the Chesapeake General District Court from 1993 until his election by the Virginia General Assembly to the Chesapeake Circuit Court in 1995. He also previously worked as an attorney in private practice, was an assistant commonwealth's attorney in Chesapeake, and served on the Virginia House of Delegates.[3]
