Valentina M. Morales is a judge of the New York City Criminal Court New York County. She assumed office in 2021. Her current term ends in 2031.

Education

Morales received an undergraduate degree from Wellesley College and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.[1]

Career

Morales served as the Kirkland & Ellis Fellow at the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem. After her fellowship, Morales worked for a private firm for five years before returning to public service as the principal attorney-in-charge at the Mental Hygiene Legal Service in the First Judicial Department. Morales also served as the senior director of justice initiatives with Fedcap Group where she created and directed innovative criminal justice programming with a focus on specialized populations including The Women’s Project.[1]
