Community based solutions, Secure funding for the classroom and strengthen relationships between students and counselors
The community deserves a seat at the table and all voices need to be heard. My neighbors from south to east side Stockton, CA have concerns and needs that we have to focus on. We need to make sure that every school site has the necessary tools to support the success of the student. School counselors must have the training and passion to deal with the need of every student.
Barack and Michelle Obama for their leadership and passion to the people they serve.
Compassion, sympathy, a sense of understanding and build grassroots projects in the community.
I come from a sense of understanding of what youth go through in my community. My involvement in the community opened my eyes to see the holes that some people may fall through in life. The main issue was the system failed them.
Fight for the success of all students. Fight for the welfare of our teachers. Find what inspires our youth and build real community connections. Not all students have the option to reach for high education so in their K-12 years we must make sure that they have the necessary skills to live a productive life (community-work programs that employ our students, classes that teach our students life skills, etc).
That my teamwork and leadership skills helped improve lives of students and their households.
The people of Stockton, CA.
We must provide real metal health and trauma treatment to our students and households.
