Mullin's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[11]
- Regulation
- Excerpt: "I’ll work to support current businesses, large and small, while attracting new businesses by reducing redundant paperwork and streamlining regulations.”
- Economy
- Excerpt: "I’ll fight to create a pro-free market and business environment to help provide job opportunities here so our children don’t need to leave the state for a job.”
- Taxes
- Excerpt: "The more we work, the more we should earn. Currently it seems, the more we work, the more that’s taken from us…A proposed payroll tax to pay for health care will destroy Vermont’s economy.”
- Government Spending
- Excerpt: "Instead of over regulating businesses or raising taxes, our efforts would be better spent growing incomes with better jobs. This is true economic growth.”
- Health care
- Excerpt: "I think we should have more affordable health care choices, not fewer. Single Payer’s proposed cost and where this money will come from is not being presented to us. We need to know what it’s going to cost and who’s going to pay before the 2014 election.”[11]
