Valerie Roehrs is a wife, mother, rancher and business owner raised with conservative Christian values by medical profession career parents in Farmers Branch, TX. She and her husband, Michael, reside and raise cattle on their ranch near Bartonville, TX and operate a working farm near Muenster, TX. They have two daughters, both now in college.

Valerie Roehrs is a dedicated conservative leader who has spent her life serving her community and fighting for the values that make Texas great. As a lifelong resident of Denton County, she understands the unique challenges and opportunities facing our region.

With extensive experience in business management and community leadership, Valerie brings a practical, results-oriented approach to government. She believes in fiscal responsibility, limited government, and protecting the freedoms that our founders fought to secure.

Valerie is committed to being a full-time County Commissioner, ensuring that she is always available and accessible to the residents of Precinct 4. She will work tirelessly to maintain our infrastructure, support our first responders, and ensure that every tax dollar is spent wisely and transparently.

As your County Commissioner, Valerie will bring fresh leadership, conservative principles, and unwavering dedication to serving the people of Denton County.
  • Fiscal Responsibility - Fiscal Responsibility means every tax dollar counts and taxpayers deserve transparency and accountability—especially as Denton County grows. Budgeting should follow clear priorities, funding core services like public safety and infrastructure based on performance and results, while cutting low-value programs and avoiding waste. Spending must be easy for the public to review, and the county should reduce debt, avoid unnecessary borrowing, live within its means, and protect future generations from unsustainable financial burdens.
  • Infrastructure - Infrastructure means building for the future by maintaining and improving the roads, bridges, and facilities that support our economy and quality of life in Precinct 4 and across Denton County. This includes prioritizing maintenance and expediting critically needed road projects to relieve congestion, planning long-term growth while preserving our rural character, addressing drainage and flooding to protect homes and businesses, and keeping county buildings and facilities efficient and effective to ensure taxpayer dollars are used wisely.
  • Public Safety means protecting our community by fully supporting law enforcement and first responders with the resources, training, and tools they need, including competitive pay and modern equipment. It also means ensuring rural areas of Precinct 4 have timely emergency services and building strong partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve through outreach, transparency, and open communication.
As County Commissioner, I am passionate about supporting law enforcement and first responders, ensuring public safety, and using taxpayer dollars responsibly through transparent, results-driven budgeting. I will maintain and improve roads, bridges, and county facilities, address congestion and drainage, and plan for growth while preserving our rural character. Above all, I believe government must be customer-focused, remembering that taxpayers are the customer, and I am committed to transparency, community engagement, and accountable leadership.
