Biography

Evangelos Argyrakis was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He earned a high school diploma from Omaha Central High School. His career experience includes working as an immigration attorney.[1]

Elections for the Nebraska State Senate were held in 2016. The primary election took place on May 10, 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was February 16, 2016, for incumbents. Challengers were required to file by March 1, 2016.[2]

Incumbent Sara Howard defeated Larry Roland in the Nebraska State Senate District 9 general election.[3][4]

Argyrakis began his campaign for attorney general in 2013 before withdrawing in December 2013 due to other commitments.[7] The general election took place on November 4, 2014.

2010

Argyrakis entered the race for Nebraska Attorney General in 2010 as a Democrat. In 1988, Argyrakis worked with former U.S. Rep. Hal Daub, a Republican, as a paid intern. As time went on, Argyrakis switched to the Democratic Party citing frustrations with the Republican Party and former president George W. Bush. [8] Argyrakis withdrew his candidacy after three weeks and switched back to the Republican Party.[9]

I am a former Immigration Attorney, who is focused on immigration reform. I strongly believe that it is time for comprehensive immigration reform legislation. The issue has been put into the forefront by president Donald Trump and something has to be done to address the situation, including a pathway to US Citizenship.
