Vanessa Guidry-Whipple was a judge on the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal, representing the 1st District.[1] She was first elected to the court in 1990 and was the first woman to serve on the court. She became the first female chief judge of the court in 2013. She served as chief judge until her term ended in 2022.[2][3][4]

Education

Judge Whipple earned her B.A. from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and her J.D. from Loyola University in New Orleans in 1980.[1]
