|my dad struggle with alcoholism the first 16 years of my life and witnessed domestic violence on a weekly basis. At 16, I learned I had a voice, I spoke up, I paid the price. The system did not work for me. Unable to afford dual living situations, I was in a foster home, moved to yet a fourth school for my 11 th grade year. I dropped out of high school, left home at 18, and the story does not get better there for years. Today, I am a mother of four, married to my best friend from 8 th grade at Mandalay Middle School, Dave, and have currently have more pets than children. This May, I graduated (with honors LOL) from FRCC and hope to continue that path and pursue my education in Social Work. I am running for office because I am NOT the perfect politician, I am human. I have made mistakes; I have had a world of life experiences. I know the issues families face because of those shared experiences. My passion has led to my purpose and plans to advocate for legislation that can address Mental Health, School Safety, and Education, along with Growth and Transportation. These are issues that matter to families not just in Jefferson County, but all of Colorado. I plan to
fight FOR THE PEOPLE!- I will work to assure Mental Health resources are accessible and affordable to all of Colorado
- We need to have a realistic discussion about school culture and educational opportunities. As a mother of four I am the best equipped candidate to advocate for the kids in my district.
- Prioritizing state budget to address growing infrastructure and transportation needs of Colorado
