This measure sought to add to the current expenses levy by a rate of $.70 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the village.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| An additional tax for the benefit of the Village of Vanlue for the purpose of CURRENT EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding 7 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to seventy cents ($0.70) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3] |
