Venky Venkatraman
Venky Venkatraman was a candidate for Place 3 representative on the Coppell Independent School District board of trustees in Texas. Venkatraman officially withdrew from the race on February 26, 2016.[1]
Biography
Venkatraman is a consultant at Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner, P.A. He has a variety of work experiences in the IT industry. He obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. He went on to earn a master's of business administration from the Indian Institute of Management and another MBA from the University of Connecticut.[2]
Elections
2016
Three of the seven seats on the Coppell Independent School District school board were up for by-district general election on May 7, 2016. Place 1 incumbent Susie Kemp did not file for re-election. Newcomers Mary Duran and Leigh Walker faced each other in the race. Bac Cao Nguyen, Jonathan Kirby, and Jill Popelka filed to replace incumbent David Apple for the Place 2 seat. For Place 3, incumbent Anthony Hill faced challengers Pankaj Jain, and Ronald Hansen. There was no primary.[3]
Walker defeated Duran in the Place 1 race while Popelka took the seat in Place 2. Hill won his re-election bid defeating Jain and Hansen.[4]
