Venton Jones (Democratic Party) is a member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 100. He assumed office on January 10, 2023. His current term ends on January 12, 2027.
Jones (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives to represent District 100. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Venton Jones was born in Dallas, Texas. He earned a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in 2006 and a graduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2009. His career experience includes working as the CEO of a nonprofit organization.[1]

Venton is the Founder and CEO of the Southern Black Policy and Advocacy Network (SBPAN), where the mission is to improve health, social, and economic conditions impacting Black communities in the U.S. South. Venton has a long history of successfully implementing innovative and effective initiatives nationally, throughout the State of Texas, and locally in Dallas County.
As an active member of the Democratic Party, Venton serves as a neighborhood Precinct Chairman and an Election Judge. He is also a former Board member of the Stonewall Democratic of Dallas. In addition to his work with the Democratic Party, Venton serves as the Chairman of the Dallas County HIV Task Force, is former Vice-Chair of the Dallas County Ryan White Planning Council, and is a City of Dallas Appointee to the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center Board.
Venton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health and his Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration.- I was born and raised in the House District.
