Vermont Fiscal Policy: Articles as Tender (1787)
The Vermont Fiscal Policy: Articles as Tender, also known as Articles as Tender Act, was on the 1787 ballot in Vermont as a legislatively referred state statute. It was defeated. The act would have allowed the continual use of articles, livestock, grain and other goods as legal tender in the execution of a contract.[1]
