The Vermont Statewide Referendum: Pari-Mutuel Betting, also known as Act 259 of 1959, was on the 1960 ballot in Vermont as a legislatively referred state statute. It was approved. The referendum allowed for pari-mutuel betting—betting where there is no "house-take"—in the state of Vermont.[1]
