Vermont Statewide Referendum: The Green Mountain Parkway (1936)
The Vermont Statewide Referendum: The Green Mountain Parkway, also known as Act 17 of 1935, was on the 1936 ballot in Vermont as a legislatively referred state statute. It was defeated. The referendum would have allowed for $500,000 in bonding to create the Green Mountain Parkway, a 260-mile highway that ran along the Green Mountains.[1]
