The Vermont lieutenant gubernatorial election took place on November 6, 2012. Primaries were held on August 28, 2012. In Vermont, election day polling hours varied throughout the state. Polling places opened between 5 am and 10 am and closed at 7 pm.

Republican incumbent Phillip Scott won re-election in 2012. He ran unopposed in the primary election on August 28 and defeated Cassandra Gekas (D) and Ben Mitchell (Liberty Union) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2] Gekas was also unopposed in her party's primary.
