Vern Tincher
Vern Tincher (b. June 23, 1936) was a Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing the 46th District from 2004-2010. He previously served in the House from 1982-1994 and 1996-2002.
On February 8, 2010, Tincher announced he would not be seeking re-election in the May primary.[1]
Tincher served as a Field Representative with Bricklayers Union Local 4 of Indiana/Kentucky from 1996-2002, was First Sergeant with the Indiana State Police from 1961-1982, and served in the United States Air Force Reserves.
He is a member of the Indiana State Policy Alliance and Pioneers, Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Murat Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite of the Valley, Wabash Valley Roadrunners Club, Riley Township Lions Club, Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy Associates, Riley Free and Ancient Masons, Masonic Lodge #390, and the Indiana State Police Alliance.[2]

Tincher did not run for re-election to the 46 district seat in 2010.[3] The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Democrat Vern Tincher won re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives District 46 receiving 12,488 votes, ahead of Republican Robert A. Heaton who received 12,076 votes.[4]
