A sales tax measure was on the ballot for Vernon voters in Los Angeles County, California, on April 14, 2020.[1] It was approved.

A "yes" vote supported authorizing the city to levy an additional 0.75% sales tax, thereby increasing the total sales tax rate in the city from 9.5% to 10.25% and generating an estimated $6 million per year in general fund revenue.
A "no" vote opposed authorizing the city to levy an additional 0.75% sales tax, thereby leaving the total sales tax rate in the city at 9.5%.


A simple majority vote was required for the approval of Measure V.

Ballot question

The ballot question was as follows:[1]

To maintain and improve city services including safety, infrastructure, streets and housing, shall the ordinance to increase the sales tax by three-quarter of one percent, providing up to $6 million annually, be adopted?[2]
