Veronica Degraffenreid
Veronica Degraffenreid was the acting secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Gov. Tom Wolf (D) appointed Degraffenreid acting secretary on February 1, 2021, when he announced Kathy Boockvar's resignation, effective February 5.[1] Degraffenreid resigned on January 8, when Gov. Wolf appointed Leigh Chapman.[2]
Biography
Veronica Degraffenreid earned a B.A. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Degraffenreid's career experience includes working as a special advisor for election modernization with the Pennsylvania Department of State, the director of election operations of the North Carolina State Board of Elections, and as a litigation specialist with the North Carolina Department of Justice and with Poyner Spruill LLP.[3]
