Veronica Frenkel
Veronica Frenkel represented District F on the Washoe County Board of Trustees in Nevada from 2014 to 2019. Frenkel did not seek re-election in 2018.
Biography
Frenkel obtained a B.A. and an M.A. in political science from the University of Texas. She also earned an M.A. in human resources management from Webster University. Frenkel previously worked as the domestic violence ombudsman for the Nevada Attorney General. At the time of her tenure, Frenkel was working as an organizational development manager for Washoe County. Frenkel and her husband, Patrick, have one child.[1][2]
Elections
2014
Incumbent John R. Mayer ran unopposed for the District B seat in the general election on November 4, 2014. Barbara Clark sought re-election to the District C seat against Nick Smith. Jim Shaw and Veronica Frenkel competed for the District F seat held by Estela Gutierrez.
While Mayer was returned to his seat by default, incumbent Clark was defeated by challenger Smith and Frenkel narrowly defeated Shaw.

Funding
Frenkel reported $7,929.00 in contributions and $5,358.36 in expenditures to the Nevada Secretary of State, leaving her campaign with $2,570.64 on hand as of June 5, 2014.[3]
Endorsements
Frenkel received endorsements from State Senator Debbie Smith (D-13), Assemblyman David Bobzien (D-24) and Assemblywoman Teresa Benitez-Thompson (D-27), Nevada State Board of Education member David Cook, Washoe County Sheriff Mike Haley and former state Attorney General Frankie Sue Del Papa. She has also received endorsements from the Northern Nevada Central Labor Council and the Building and Construction Trades Council of Northern Nevada.[4]
