Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection Committee, Kentucky House of Representatives
The Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection Committee is a standing committee of the Kentucky House of Representatives.
Per the House Rules, committees of the Kentucky House of Representatives are assigned by the Committee on Committees. Committees are assigned at the start of each term.[1] The Speaker is not recognized as an ex officio member of any committee.

The jurisdiction of this committee includes:
“ | military affairs and civil defense; national guard; veterans; retention of military bases; veterans’ rights, benefits, and education; veterans’ nursing homes; military memorials and cemeteries; fire prevention and protection; foods, drugs, and poisons; pure foods and drugs; trailer park regulations; hotel and restaurant regulations as they pertain to public health; sanitation plants; garbage and refuse disposal.[2][3] | ” |
