Vetress Boyce ran for election to the Chicago City Council to represent Ward 24 in Illinois. Boyce lost in the general election on February 28, 2023.
Boyce was a 2015 candidate for Ward 24 of the Chicago, Illinois City Council.
In 2012, Boyce was a Democratic candidate for District 10 of the Illinois House of Representatives. However, she was removed from the primary ballot in January.[1]

2015
The city of Chicago, Illinois, held elections for city council on February 24, 2015. A runoff took place on April 7, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was November 24, 2014.[2] In the general election for Ward 24, Vetress Boyce and Michael Scott, Jr. advanced past Frank M. Bass, Regina D. Lewis, Wallace E. "Mickey" Johnson, Sherita Ann Harris, Roger L. Washington, Ladarius R. Curtis, Larry G. Nelson and Darren Tillis.[3] Scott defeated Boyce in the runoff election on April 7, 2015.[4] Denarvis Mendenhall was removed from the ballot in December 2014. Marcus D. Thorne and Vernell L. Hollis-Swanigan withdrew from the race.[5] Ward 24 incumbent Michael Chandler had originally filed to run for re-election. On December 2, 2014, however, Chandler withdrew his name from the list of candidates.[6]
