|As a Democratic candidate running to represent the people of Florida Senate District 12, Veysel recognizes the need for a representative who will listen to people, fight for the needs of the community, and someone who is able to earn the respect of the citizens he will represent.
Veysel truly cares for and about all citizens in Senate District 12 and he would work for all of them.- Our lives are not getting any better under current Florida legislature. Housing cost increases (for owners and renters) have made parts of our state among the most expensive to live and work in the U.S. We are at a critical juncture with the increase in our population and the need for affordable housing.
- I will fight the GOP legislators who are blocking the Medicaid expansion. Expanding Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act would give health coverage to over 1.3 million Floridians including over 400,000 who do not have realistic access to healthcare otherwise. This would directly help tens of thousands of Polk County citizens from day one!
- I will fight for fair wages and taxes, the opportunity for economic upward mobility supporting our community and business at every level. Better jobs mean investing in higher education and training programs for our talent pool and future.
Floridians lives are not improving under the current Florida legislature. Now our Constitutional rights are under attack. We must act now. Before it’s too late! I will be your voice and fight to improve our lives everyday.
