Atkins ran for election to the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit, Georgia.
General: She was defeated in the general election on May 20, 2014, after receiving 21.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Andrew B. Roper, Charles Morris and Meng H. Lim. [1][2]

Education

Atkins received her B.S. degree from Kennesaw State College in 1986 and her J.D. from Atlanta Law School in 1990.[3]

Career

Atkins was a sole practitioner and an attorney for the firm Cox Byington, P.C. She has also served as the municipal court judge for Rockmart, Georgia.[3]
