Biography
Beaty was born in Bradley County and attended schools in the district. She earned a B.S. in elementary education from Middle Tennessee State University and an M.Ed. in special education from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She also has 45 post graduate hours in administration and supervision. Beaty has been a teacher, principal and supervisor in Bradley County Schools for 40 years as well as a State Consultant with the Tennessee Department of Education.[1]

In the August 7, 2014 general election, incumbent Vicki Beaty ran unopposed in District 2. Incumbent Troy Weathers ran against Dianna Ball Calfee in District 4. Challengers Christine Critchfield and Tammy A. Magourik faced off in District 6.
